About the Artist
Olivia Boi is an artist who battles chronic migraines and uses painting as a way of therapy for expression after days of agonizing pain.
Currently, I am painting shapes with layers of colorful past life underneath them. There are explanations of the figure, landscapes, interior worlds and subconscious relief in the series. I generate structure out of the impulsiveness of repetition, chronic pain, decision, imbalance, and security. Particular, intentional use of gestures and colors correspond with certain emotions. I strive to come to an understanding with the never ending capacity of enlightenment that painting has to offer.
